Nana Darkoa Sekyiamah

Nana Darkoa Sekyiamah is a Communications Specialist with extensive experience in working with international and regional women’s rights organisations and movements. She is also a writer and blogger whose articles have been published widely by outlets such as the Guardian, BBC Focus on Africa and New Africa Woman magazine. Nana has authored a ‘Communications Handbook for Women’s Rights Organisations’, is co-author of ‘Creating Spaces and Amplifying Voices: The First

Ten Years of the African Women’s Development Fund’, and editor of ‘Women Leading Africa: Conversations with Inspirational African Women’.

In 2013, Applause Magazine listed Nana as one of ’40 Inspirational Africans Under 40’. In 2013 and 2014, the popular blog ‘Adventures from the Bedrooms of African Women’ which Nana co-founded and curates won ‘Best Overall Blog’ at the Ghana Blogging and Social Media Awards. Nana is also an entrepreneur and co-founder of MAKSI, a fashion label.

Fatima B. Derby

Fatima B. Derby is a Ghanaian feminist writer and activist. She holds a B.A degree in English from the University of Ghana, Legon and she is an alumna of the 2019 African Women’s Development Fund (AWDF) Women Writer’s Workshop. She is experienced in the areas of development communication, social media content creation and management, and feminist and LGBTQI+ community organizing.
